‘Vengeance’ At Glen Ridge Motorsports Park To Be A ‘Fonda 200’ Qualifier In ’19

Story By: GLEN RIDGE MOTORSPORTS PARK – FULTONVILLE, NY – In 2019 the landscape for racing in Montgomery County took a sharp left hand turn as Brett Deyo took over the reins of the Fonda Speedway. It was announced over the winter that the ‘Return of the Fonda 200’ was imminent and was paying a hefty purse.

Fast forward a few months and the purse structure was posted, and the winner’s share would be an earth shattering $53,000 to win, and over $125,000 total purse!

How does The Ridge & ‘Vengeance’ play into this you ask? We are proud, and honored that the two tracks, separated by less than 4 miles, have been working together this off-season to come up with something huge.

The area has longed for the two facilities to work together, and finally, after many years, Fonda Speedway & The Glen Ridge Motorsports Park have become great allies.

“Once Brett took over Fonda, Ray & I knew that this was our chance at finally working together with Fonda Speedway. It’s a comment heard for years in the area, “why can’t everyone work together?” Co-Promoter Butch Hazzard stated. “Having one of our biggest events now a Fonda 200 qualifier is huge for us, and the drivers. The fans will be able to watch 50 intense laps knowing this race means a ton now!”

‘Vengeance’ takes place on Saturday July 6th, 2019. It will be a 50 lap, $2500 to win modified event with a huge stress reliever as the winner will be a guaranteed starter in the September 28th monumental event at the Track of Champions.
