Jonathan Preston Holds Off Colagiovanni And Franek To Win ESS At Outlaw
DUNDEE, NY – With the Outlaw Spring Nationals canceled earlier this season, the first chance to see Sprint Cars at the Outlaw Speedway was this Friday Night when the Empire Super Sprints hit the 4/10th mile clay oval. Jonathan Preston narrowly beat Jason Barney at the line by .006 seconds in lap traffic to win his qualifying heat. After starting on the pole, Preston did all he could to hold off both Paulie Colagiovanni and Davie Franek to win his first of the 2019 Race Season. Paul Kinney after sustaining a back injury in the previous season finished 4th and Matt Tanner was able to secure a top 5 finish in his number 90.
