Cory Haas Earns Top-Ten Finish Saturday At The Lincoln Speedway
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / TRONE OUTDOOR MOTORSPORTS – YORK, PA – Cory Haas and Trone Outdoor Motorsports have been on a mission to build consistency during the early stages of their 2019 season, and that is exactly what they are doing.
Haas, driver of the Trone Outdoor Motorsports/Old Republic Distillery/Creekside Auto Sales/Wicked Cushion/No. 39 sprint car, etched another mark in the top-ten column during the recent weekend, this time during action at the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, March 23.
Although shuffled back as far as tenth after the initial start, Haas kept his patience and battled forward, ultimately taking advantage of multiple restarts to climb his way to a sixth place finish.
By way of average point totals for the season, Haas lined-up eighth on the feature grid, boosting his night in the Pigeon Hills with a runner-up performance during his respective heat race.
“We keep plugging away and it’s working out for the better,” Cory Haas said, who finished 12th during his first visit to Lincoln Speedway on March 16. “I can’t thank John Trone for this opportunity. Building consistency and rhythm during this part of the season will play a huge role later down the line. John [Trone] gives me the equipment necessary to win. I’ll do what I can to make that happen this weekend.”
Cory Haas and John Trone’s Trone Outdoor Motorsports will continue their 2019 campaign with another Central Pennsylvania doubleheader on Friday and Saturday, March 29 & 30. The current plan is to visit Williams Grove Speedway for the facility’s first night race of the year on Friday, followed by another stop at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday.
