Brock Zearfoss Earns Back-To-Back Top 10’s In Posse Country
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / PREMIER MOTORSPORTS – JONESTOWN, PA – Despite a few hiccups including a water line issue at Williams Grove Speedway, the ‘Jonestown Jet’ Brock Zearfoss displayed speed and consistency during the recent weekend, ending his Central Pennsylvania double with a pair of top-ten performances, all of which highlighted with an eighth place finish at the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, March 16.
The full-time All Star, who will enter select Central Pennsylvania programs until his All Star schedule resumes on April 11, was battling as high as sixth during feature competition at Lincoln before eventually fading to eighth. Unfortunately, a few bold moves with the intent to gain a few extra spots ended up causing more harm than good.
“We’ll get better at pulling pills sooner or later,” Brock Zearfoss said, who started tenth at Lincoln Speedway, as well as at Williams Grove Speedway during the recent weekend. “Regardless, we did what we could to move closer toward the front. I tried to make some moves at Lincoln, but they didn’t end up helping us. My guys gave me a great car all weekend. I think if we had the opportunity to start closer toward the front, we would have been right there. We’ll keep digging and try again next weekend.”
During the Williams Grove Speedway season opener on Sunday, March 17, Zearfoss, driver of the Premier Motorsports/Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc./BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Meckley’s Limestone Products/Berkebile Oil Company/River City Wood Products/No. 70 sprint car, was scheduled to start tenth when disaster struck in the form of a water line issue. Luckily, the team was able to go pit-side before the start of the main event and fix the problem. The downside, they were instructed to restart at the tail of the field.
An impressive recovery, to say the least, Zearfoss bounced back in a hurry, eventually crossing under the final checkers ninth in the running order. The result pushed Zearfoss’ top-ten total to five on the season, now with three consecutive during starts in the Keystone State.
Up next on the schedule, Brock Zearfoss and Premier Motorsports will visit Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway on Friday and Saturday, March 22 & 23, respectively.
