All Systems Go For Two Days Of Practice At Big Diamond Speedway
Story By: KENNETH BRUCE / BIG DIAMOND SPEEDWAY – MINERSVILLE, PA – This Sunday March 31st Big Diamond Speedway will swing open the gates for the first time in 2019 for two big days of practice. It will be the first-time teams; drivers and the fans will have a chance see and to get a feel for the new dirt surface that was laid down on the Speedway over the winter months with the first of two scheduled practice dates set to take place.
Sunday’s practice session will get underway with gates opening at 11:00am with on track practice from 1pm to 4pm. Practice is open to any car with a roll cage. Pit admission will be $30 for the practice session. After practice concludes there will be an Enduro Dash 50 along with an appearance by the Vintage cars starting at 4:30. Pit admission for the Enduro and Vintage cars will $30 for Big Diamond/Vintage members and $40 for non-members. Grandstand admission is free!
There will be a second practice session available on Friday night April 5th which will use the same format. Gates for the Friday practice will open at 6:00 with on track practice going from 7pm to 9pm. Once again, the Enduro and Vintage cars will be in action with those divisions getting underway at 9:30. Admission prices will be the same as the previous practice.

During both practice sessions fans can purchase season passes and have a chance to mark their reserved seats.
Sunoco race fuel will be available at both practice sessions and teams can also purchase their 2019 pit licenses.
Once the practices are complete it will be time to get the 2019 season underway on Friday night April 12th with a 30 lap $4000 to win feature for the Insinger Performance 358 Modifieds. The USS Achey Sportsman will also run a 20-lap feature event paying $1000 to the winner. The Savage 61 Road Runners and the No Sweat Service Group Street Stocks will also be part of opening night presented by Schaeffer’s Motorsports.
