RPW Exclusive: Rain Forces Cancellation Of Tuesday’s Events At Volusia

Column by: ROBERT SYMONDS / RACE PRO WEEKLY – De Leon Springs, FL – For the third time in the last week, DirtCar cancelled all racing events at the Volusia Speedway Park for the DirtCar Nationals due to rain.

Rain hit the speedway late afternoon Tuesday which soaked the racing surface. With more rain coming, DirtCar was forced to pull the plug on Tuesday’s nightly events which featured the Super DIRTcar Series and the DirtCar Late Models.

A total of 37 Super DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds joined with approximately 40 DirtCar Late Models traveled to the (not so) Sunshine State to compete in this evening’s events and will be possibly made up tomorrow night.
