Glen Ridge Motorsports Park Releases 2019 Schedule; Modifieds Return For 11 Events

Story By: GLEN RIDGE MOTORSPORTS PARK – FULTONVILLE, NY – The Glen Ridge Motorsports Park is pleased to announce our 2019 racing schedule!

The team has been working hard to put together an action-packed schedule for the Ridge faithful.

Our season will kick off on April 28th (weather permitting) for an open practice day. With the earlier announcement of switching to American Racer Tires, we wanted to give the teams a chance to get some tire testing in before the season officially begins on May 5th.

We are also happy to announce that the Modifieds will be back in 2019 for 11 races on 9 nights. The Ridge is part of the The American Racer Cup giving modified teams a chance to run minimal times and reap the rewards of what the ARC has to offer. July 6th, the Ridge will host ‘Vengeance’ a 50 lap, $2500 to win modified show. Lap money, contingency awards and more!

The Red Chair 602 Crate Modifieds will headline the racing season once again. Drivers can also sign up for the Sportsman The American Racer Cup and bring home some great money, and tire bonuses throughout the season as well. The 602 Regional Championship race is also scheduled for July 6th.

Billy & Cindy Yurkewecz of Yurkewecz Auto Crushers in Fultonville NY are the official title sponsor of the Pro-Stock division.

Montgomery County Championships between the 602’s and Pro-Stocks are also on the line this season as the Ridge @ neighboring track Fonda Speedway have joined forces to offer drivers another run at some extra cash. The driver with the best 8 finishes at The Ridge, and the best 8 finishes at Fonda Speedway will be crowned Montgomery County Champion!

Mini-Stocks will have a special race this summer thanks in part to Damon Anderson and his team. The 1st ever ‘MINI-SHOCK’ 50 lap race will pay $500 to the 1st SOHC across the line and $500 to the 1st DOHC driver to the checkers.

Limited Sportsman, All-Star Slingshots & the Northeast Paving and Sealcoat Jr Slingshots will complete the weekly racing.

We have also added some special divisions to the racing card this season as well. The CRSA Sprints return to their roots for two shows, WRA Sprints- Wingless Racer’s Alliance, NY6A 600 Sprint Tour, Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modifieds, and the USAC East Coast Sprint Cars all make appearances the season. NYSSCA-New York State Stock Car Association night, Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Night, EMS Night, and much much more!

Schedule may change as we are still working on a few things for other divisions and the fans!
