Brock Zearfoss Enters Off-Season With Positive Outlook

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BROCK ZEARFOSS RACING – JONESTOWN, PA – A season complete with success, team changes and new places, the ‘Jonestown Jet’ Brock Zearfoss will enter the off-season with a positive outlook, already taking steps forward in preparation for the new year.

Zearfoss, who concluded the year in charge of the Brock Zearfoss Racing/Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Meckley’s Limestone/Central Builders Supply Co./Berkebile Oil Company/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Creekside Roofing and Siding/Bargain Barn/Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc./No. 3Z sprint car, capped off his 2018 campaign with a trip to The Dirt Track at Charlotte on Thursday through Friday, November 1-3. Despite weather interfering with much of the weekend, the show went on and so did Zearfoss, ultimately qualifying for each of the World of Outlaws main events contested.

The Jonestown, Pa., native earned two victories during the 2018 season, incidentally occurring in back-to-back fashion during action at Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway on April 20 & 21, respectively. The pair of victories were only the tip of Zearfoss’ iceberg of accomplishments that also includes 20 top-five performances, many of which against the elite of sprint car racing.

Perhaps Zearfoss’ most impressive feat of the season was accomplished during competition at the Sprint Car Capital of the World – Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa. The hired ace for North Dakota-based Destiny Motorsports at the time, Zearfoss qualified for the coveted Knoxville Nationals A-main during a first-ever attempt. The team locked themselves into the A-main by transferring through the Knoxville Nationals B-main contested just prior to the historic, $150,000-to-win main event.

Zearfoss finished tenth during Knoxville Nationals preliminary competition.

“What a summer. It was full of ups, downs and everything else in between, but at the end of the day, I’m very grateful for the opportunities given and the experiences I had the pleasure of enduring,” Zearfoss said. “It was a blast and I’m already looking forward to next year.”

Despite his plans not officially set in stone, Zearfoss is excited for what the future has in store. Any updates regarding 2019 will be released in the coming weeks. Fans are encouraged to stay alert via social media, brockzearfoss.com and fullyinjected.com.

“We have some things in the works, but I’m not ready to unveil anything just yet,” Zearfoss continued. “I want to make sure everything is ready to rock and roll before anything is said. It’s going to be exciting.”
