Trenca Hustles To Top 10 In 360-Sprint Car Action At Brockville Ontario Speedway

Story By: SHAWN MILLER / MUCCI MOTORSPORTS – BROCKVILLE, ONT – Joe Trenca recorded his 10th top 10 of the season last Saturday when he made his debut at Brockville Ontario Speedway.

The Mucci Motorsports driver finished fourth in a Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints heat race before advancing from 12th to seventh place during the 1000 Islands RV Fall Nationals main event.

“It was great to get some laps at a new track,” he said. “We’d been there before and only got to hot lap and run time trials before the event rained out so technically this was our first time racing there. I felt like we got better as the night went on and now we have some notes for whenever we race there again.”

Trenca is slated to wrap up his season this Friday at Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, N.Y., during the Dutch Hoag Nationals with the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints.

“I’m really excited to race at Outlaw Speedway for our last race of the year,” he said. “We have ran well there so our goal is to close the year on a high note.”

Trenca captured a fourth-place result last month during his most recent race at Outlaw Speedway. He also tied his career-best mark with a runner-up result there in August. Trenca has produced at least one top-10 finish at Outlaw Speedway during each of the last four seasons.

“That’s probably our best track,” he said. “It seems like we are always in contention for a good result. I think it’d be huge if we could contend for a win or top five this weekend. That’d give us great momentum heading into the offseason.”
