K&N Filters Night Set For Saturday At Grandview Speedway
Story By: ERNIE SAXTON / GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY – BECHTELSVILLE, PA – Current T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modified point leader Brett Kressley will be looking for his third win of the season when NASCAR stock car racers take to the Grandview Speedway on Saturday for K&N Filters Night racing action.
Making up the rest of the tripleheader show will be the exciting Late Models and action packed Sportsman stock cars.
Plans call for a full series of qualifying events to be presented topped off by a 30-lap feature race for the Modifieds that starts the 28 top performers of the night. The Sportsman and Late Model racers will each take part in 25-lap feature races.
Again this Saturday the Low Down & Dirty Meet & Greet will feature three of the weekly performers with their race cars at the main gate area signing autographs, chatting with fans and signing autographs. Included this Saturday will be Modified racer Steve Young, Sportsman talent Kurt Bettler and past champion Brian Shuey representing the Late Models. The session gets underway at 5:00 p.m.
Adult admission is just $15 while youngsters under 12 are admitted free. There is free parking available on the speedway grounds. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. and all seats offer a great view of the on track action.
Then on Thursday, June 14th, 7:30 p.m. the traveling United States Auto Club non-wing Sprint cars will be in action in the annual Jesse Hockett Memorial featuring several top name racers from across the nation. In addition the always popular 358 Modifieds will be in action with a number of visiting talents expected to take part. The Modified race will be a NASCAR point race.
Adult admission for the USAC/358 Modified doubleheader is $30 while youngsters 6-11 pay $10. Kids under 6 are admitted free. Pit admission is $35. Spectator gates open at 5 p.m.
T.P.Trailers and Truck Equipment of Limerick will be sponsoring the Saturday, June 16th tripleheader featuring the 358 Modifieds, Late Models and Sportsman.
And an event that is sure to be popular with fans and racers who are pet lovers is the Safety Net Sanctuary Raffle Fundraiser on Saturday, June 23rd. The care forever home for animals located on 11 acres in Fleetwood, PA gives a home to dogs, cats and farm animals. No animals are euthanized. Fans are invited to bring dog and cat food to be placed in special containers and take part in the raffle that will have winners walking off with gift baskets, race team items and area business gift certificates.
