After Losing Event In 2018, World Of Outlaws Will Return To Bridgeport Next Season

Story By: ANTHONY CORINI / WORLD OF OUTLAWS – SWEDESBORO, NJ – The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series and Bridgeport Speedway officials have announced that the event rained out on May 22, 2018, will not be able to be rescheduled during the 2018 season.

Both World of Outlaws and Bridgeport officials worked closely looking for a new date but were unable to find an opening that would make sense for both parties. The Outlaws eagerly await their debut on the new configuration at Design for Vision/Sunglass Central Speedway at Bridgeport Speedway next year, as talks for the 2019 schedule have already begun.

Mother Nature has tormented the World of Outlaws during its 40th Anniversary Season, claiming 16 events thus far in 2018.

Bridgeport advanced ticket holders for the rained-out event will be given a credit to use towards selected World of Outlaws events in the future. If the advanced ticket holders would prefer a refund, they need to call 844-DIRT-TIX. The deadline to request a refund instead of keeping the credit is Friday, July 13, 2018. If you have any questions, you can call 844-DIRT-TIX Monday through Friday from 9 to 5 ET.

The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series continues its 40th Anniversary Season Friday, June 1 with the Rumble in Michigan at I-96 Speedway before completing the weekend on Saturday, June 2 in Wisconsin at Wilmot Raceway with the running of the Badger 40.
