Elmira Pioneers Baseball Forms Partnership With Outlaw Speedway For 2018
Story By: KENNY SHUPP / OUTLAW SPEEDWAY – DUNDEE, NY – In a recent joint announcement, the ownership of both the Elmira Pioneers Baseball Team along with the Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, NY have revealed that both entities will partner together in a cross promotional endeavor for the 2018 season.
“I am pleased to partner with Tyler Siri of the Outlaw Speedway in this unique promotional partnership, stated Elmira Pioneers owner, Robbie Nichols. With the popularity of Outlaw Speedway and the number of fans that they generate at the track on a weekly basis this will be a great way to introduce new fans to the Elmira Pioneers Baseball Team. Like Outlaw Speedway we too have a very aggressive schedule of events set to get underway at Dunn Field in Elmira starting in early June.”
3rd year Outlaw Speedway owner/promoter Tyler Siri echoed the comments made by Nichols. “Robbie really knows how to market and promote his baseball organization and the numbers don’t lie. They pack the place every night they have a home game and this promotional opportunity will give us the perfect chance to reach out to potentially new Outlaw Speedway fans from in and around the greater Elmira area and Chemung County in general.
The Elmira Pioneers have a tremendous track record since the organizations was first founded in 1888 having been affiliated with a multitude of various Major League Baseball Teams over its history. Currently the Elmira Pioneers are a part of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) which is comprised of 14 ball clubs from around the Upstate New York Region with their first game of the 2018 season scheduled for Friday, June 1, 2018 as they will host the Newark Pilots.
As part of the agreement between the Elmira Pioneers and Outlaw Speedway each entity will have billboard signage and web site advertising at their respective venues. In addition each will receive various public address announcements throughout the 2018 season as well as a night of enjoyment at each other’s respective business.
Siri went on to say, “The Elmira Pioneers only have a two month schedule, but they pack a ton of games into that short of a time frame. Our schedule at the track runs from April thru October so we have a lot more flexibility in how we can do business. Consequently we are going to host Robbie Nichols and his staff at Outlaw on Friday, June 8 as part of the Tony Stewart Artic All Star 410 Sprints Night. This will be a perfect fit for them as there will be an overflow crowd at Outlaw Speedway on that particular night so the Elmira Pioneers will get plenty of exposure.”
Nichols and his crew will be at the main gate handing out tickets to an upcoming Elmira Pioneers game and the team mascot, “Stitches” will be on hand to greet the fans and give out Elmira Pioneers 2018 schedule cards. In addition the Elmira Pioneers Team Van will be there to help pace the feature starting fields.
Outlaw Speedway will have a presence at an Elmira Pioneers home game played at Elmira’s historic Dunn Field on a date yet to be announced. Included in the deal will be ticket give-a-ways and the Outlaw Speedway Friendly Chrysler, Dodge Jeep Ram sponsored Dodge Ram Pace Truck will be on display.
