Dave Marcuccilli Tops Stellar Memorial Day Field at Weedsport Speedway
Information By: DAN KAPUSCINSKI / WEEDSPORT SPEEDWAY – WEEDSPORT, NY – Beautiful sunny skies greeted race fans and race teams at Weedsport Speedway on Memorial Day for the Spano Container Sportsman Shootout Series 25 presented by DC Rauscher.
At night’s end it was Dave Marcuccilli climbing to the top of Victory Hill.
Marcuccilli passed Kevin Root late in the going to claim his first Weedsport win of the season in the No. M1.
Root held on for second ahead of Matt Guererri, Will Shields and Connor Cleveland in the top five.
Spano Container Sportsman Shootout Series point leader Kevin Ridley struggled, coming home with a 13th place finish. As a result, Marcuccilli will assume the series point lead.
