Could Racing At Grandview Be Even More Competitive Than Last Year?
Story By: ERNIE SAXTON / GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY – BECHTELSVILLE, PA – There has been eight feature stock car races run at Grandview Speedway so far this season and there have been eight different winners. Unfortunately Ma Nature has won the other six scheduled features.
With eight different winners the racers could very well be on the pace to top last season when there were 33 different winners.
Another tripleheader card of NASCAR stock car racing is scheduled for this Saturday, May 12th. Heading up the exciting racing action will be the T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds featuring some of best dirt track Modified talents in the area. The Sportsman and Late Model stock cars will make up the rest of the show.
As usual each division will top off their qualifying events with a feature made up of the top performers of the night.
Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with racing starting at 7:30 p.m. Adult admission is just $15 while youngsters under 12 are admitted FREE.
This Saturday’s Meet & Greet session has been cancelled but will return on Saturday, May 19th.
Whelen Engineering, a long time NASCAR sponsor, will have their name on the Saturday, May 19th events when a four division card of racing is presented. The Blast from the Past Vintage racers will join the NASCAR T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds, Sportsman and Late Models. There will be no increase in the weekly regular admission prices for adults, $15, and kids under 12, FREE.
The Outlaw Enduro and Blast from the Past Vintage racers will try again on Sunday, June 3rd. All of their scheduled Sunday events have fell victim to Ma Nature. Included in the June 3rd show will be Twin 50’s for the Big Cars and the Small Car’s. In addition there will be a 50-lapper for the Junk Yard entries and a race for the Ladies. Add in a pair of 15-lap features for the Vintage racers and you have quite a show. Adult admission is just $10 and kids under the age of 12 are admitted FREE.
The event rained out this past Sunday, May 6, has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 24th.
