Blake Hahn Rebounds For Top 10 With ASCS Red River At Creek County

Story By: BRYAN HULBERT / BLAKE HAHN RACING – SAPULPA, OK – Picking up his 11th top-ten finish of the season, Blake Hahn clawed through Friday’s B-Feature to run eighth at Creek County Speedway with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products.

“Yeah, we came back to eighth which was good. Overall, I felt like I had a much better car but I screwed up in the Heat Race so I had a hole to dig out of.”

Taking off third in his Heat Race, Hahn made contact with Layne Himebaugh, causing the Griffith Truck and Equipment No. 52 to spin in the third-turn. Able to continue, Hahn was unable to advance beyond fifth, landing him in the B-Feature where the result was a win that put him starting 15th in the A-Feature.

“I was able to search around in the B-Feature and got rolling on the top. About half-way through the race, the track started to really slick off so, before the ‘A’, we tightened the car up a lot. The first half of the feature, I was able to move around and go where they weren’t. I was up to tenth and we had a caution with about six to go and just kept alternating my lines and was able to pick off two more before the end. I feel like we had a car capable of winning, again, just screwed up in the Heat.”

On the docket for this weekend, Hahn will see action at two new tracks with Blake joining the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by Sawblade.com on Friday, April 27 at Paducah International Raceway and Tennessee National Raceway on Saturday, April 28 with the ASCS Mid-South Region.
