Brent Marks To End First 2018 CA WoO Trip With Visits To Ocean & Bakersfield

The Myerstown Missile, a second-year traveler with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, will conclude his first trip to the Golden State of 2018 with a pair of starts on Friday and Saturday, March 23-24, at Ocean Speedway and Bakersfield Speedway, respectively. Marks has yet to visit the pair of California ovals.

“Things have been tough, but we keep working hard,” Marks explained, pilot of the M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/A. Murray Family Investments/No. 19 sprint car. “Compared to a lot of these teams, our notebook is still a little thin in terms of experience racing in California. All we can do is keep working and build on our mistakes. Hopefully we can end our California visit with a pair of solid finishes at Ocean and Bakersfield.”

Brent Marks will enter the upcoming weekend with a pair of top-ten performances against the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series in 2018, currently 18th in the World of Outlaws championship standings. Most recently, Marks was scored 24th during A-main competition at the Stockton Dirt Track in Stockton, Calif., on Saturday, March 17. The Myerstown, Pa., native qualified for main event action after finishing fourth during the evening’s Last Chance Showdown. Marks missed A-main qualification through is respective heat race by one position.
