Wade Hendrickson & Pat Michael Team Up For 2018 Modified Season
Column By: NICHOLAS FILLMAN / RPW – LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – News broke on the Internet Monday via the Wade Hendrickson Racing page that Hendrickson will team up with long time car owner Pat Michael for the 2018 racing season.
The announcement comes after Hendrickson announced that he would be parting ways from the Craig Pondish number 6 entry that he had piloted weekly at the Bridgeport Speedway, along with other tracks in the NJ/PA area. The Pondish team has since announced that Danny Bouc will replace Wade in their entry.
Pat Michael has had a number of veteran drivers pilot his entries over the past seasons. Most recently, and with a great deal of success, the 51 was driven by Dom Buffalino. There has been no word yet as to whether or not Buffalino will still be associated with the Michael team or what his plans are for the 2018 season.
Michael and Hendrickson plan to run an ambitious schedule, including events at New Egypt and Bridgeport in the early weeks of the season before deciding on which track they will call home for the 2018 season.
Hendrickson will also pilot the Michael Dow Electric, K & A Excavating Big and Small Block Modifieds at a number of special events throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware as they will be following Brett Deyo’s Short Track Super Series South Region in the 2018 season.
Look for the ‘Flying Farmer’ to be among the front runners during the 2018 season with this new potent combination of veteran driver and ownership.
