Great Participation In First NYSSCA Bowling Tournament Of Off-Season
Story By: TOM COUGHLIN / NEW YORK STATE STOCK CAR ASSOCIATION – AMSTERDAM, NY – Instead of race cars speeding around the tracks, there were pins flying when the New York State Stock Car Association held their first bowling event of the 2017-2018 off season at Kelly’s Imperial Bowling Center in Amsterdam, N.Y.. A total of 65 drivers, mechanic’s, media, family, and fans participated.
Along with many more watching and cheering from the side lines. Members of the winning team were Jeremy Burns, Sean Prendergast, Heather Felden, Josh Weaver, and Tim McFarland. Finishing second was the team of Jeremy McGaffin, Jann McGaffin, Ron Szczerba, Charlie Ruggeri, and Bill McGaffin, and the final podium spot went to the team of Nick Ramsey, Joey Ernst, Garrick Wager, T.J. Garland, and Chris Charron.
N.Y.S.S.C.A. president Tom Coughlin stated “I am pleased with the turn out here today”, he continued “You never know with any event how well the end result will be. December is a tough month with holiday shopping and school concerts, but this is great to see, so many come out to support our injured member benefit fund.

This Sunday, December 17, 2017 N.Y.S.S.C.A. will again be on the lanes, but this time it will be at the Boulevard Bowl located at 1315 Erie Boulevard, Schenectady, N.Y. 12305.
Sign in will start at 11:30 am. with bowling to begin at 12:15 pm. This event will be made up of five member teams. $75. per team or $15. per bowler, with the same 8 pin, no-tap format. For more information contact Bob James-Bobco at 518-399-0937
