Fourth Annual Hangover 100 RC Car Event Set To Roll At Full Throttle RC Park Saturday

Story By: DAVID PEEK / FULL THROTTLE RC PARK – GREEN ISLAND, NY – The Full Throttle RC Park is proud to present this year’s Hangover 100 RC car race this Saturday, December 30th. Full Throttle RC Park is the biggest indoor RC facility in NY state and has been in business four years.

The 25,000 sq ft facility has both a indoor clay oval and indoor dirt off-road track. Located at 4 Center Street in Green Island NY, just minutes off 787, Full Throttle RC Park is owned by local entrepreneur Bob Godgart. Bob also owns Killer Crate and helps the Bobby Hackel modified racing team at Albany-Saratoga Speedway.

The Hangover 100 has become one of New York’s premier RC events. This race is in memory of two local racing enthusiasts, John Fisler and Joey Corradi. John spent several years helping Jack Johnson and traveling to most every race. He was best known for his sense of humor and knowledge of racing nostalgia.

Joey was involved as a crew member and fabricator for the Jeff Trombley racing team for many years. He also helped his brother Pep Corradi at both Albany-Saratoga and Fonda. Both John and Joey were avid RC car racers who enjoyed the hobby, traveling from track to track.

Racing on Saturday starts at noon and spectators are welcome. There is no charge to come enjoy an afternoon of RC car racing.

The cars are styled after Dirt Modifieds, Sprint Cars, Street Stocks and Late Models. The track is 140ft super smooth and fast clay oval.

Come see local drivers Rocky Warner, Jeremy Pitts, Derrick Mcgrew, Zack Seylerlein, Justin Smith and several others tear up the clay as they test their skills against RC racers from all over the Northeast.

It will be a fun family day and we hope to see you there.
