Zearfoss Aims To Continue Port Royal Success During WoO Invasion
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BROCK ZEARFOSS RACING – JONESTOWN, PA – Working to earn his fifth Port Royal Speedway victory of the 2017 season, as well as his seventh in Central Pennsylvania overall, the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss will join the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at the Port Royal (PA) Speedway “Speed Palace” on Saturday, October 14.
Zearfoss is certainly no stranger to competition against the Greatest Show On Dirt. The Jonestown native not only beat the Outlaws at Williams Grove Speedway in July, but he also mounted an impressive charge from 16th to finish ninth during the $50,000-to-win, National Open finale on Saturday, September 30.
“Our plan is to beat the Outlaws again,” Brock Zearfoss said, full-time pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing/Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Meckley’s Limestone/Central Builders Supply Co./Berkebile Oil Company/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/No. 3Z. “Our confidence has been through the roof since Aaron Long and I beat the Outlaws at Williams Grove Speedway in July. I think we have what it takes to be competitive any time we hit the track, even against the World of Outlaws. I’m excited to get back to Port Royal Speedway and give our fans something to be proud of.”
The recently crowned Port Royal Speedway track champion will enter the weekend with a recent podium performance to his credit, this time finishing second during the “Run What You Brung” program at the famed Williams Grove Speedway on Saturday, October 7. The runner-up finish was Zearfoss’ sixth podium performance of the 2017 season at The Grove, earning a total of nine top-ten finishes since his first visit of the year on March 24.
