Marks To End Rookie Campaign With World of Outlaws At The Dirt Track At Charlotte
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BRENT MARKS RACING – MYERSTOWN, PA – A campaign that started in mid-February, Brent Marks will conclude his rookie season with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series with a three-day visit to The Dirt Track at Charlotte near Charlotte, North Carolina.
An event that has grown into a short track blockbuster, the Textron Off Road World Finals will headline action at The Dirt Track, complete with two rounds of qualifying time trials, followed by back-to-back nights of World of Outlaws competition on Thursday through Saturday, November 2-4.
Although no stranger to the state-of-the-art complex, this will be Marks’ first World Finals as a full-time World of Outlaws competitor.
“It’s crazy to think we are already preparing for the World Finals,” Brent Marks said, pilot of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19. “What a year. I can’t even begin to explain how it feels to complete a full season with the World of Outlaws. This is something I’ve been working toward since I first started racing and now we are here. To accomplish that goal says a lot about my team’s potential. We certainly aren’t done yet. We still have a lot of work to do.”
Brent Marks will enter World Finals competition tenth in the current World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series standings, as well as second in the Rookie of the Year chase. To date, Marks has earned 22 top-ten finishes, one of which inside the top-five.
“We learned a lot this year,” Marks continued. “I’ll carry the experiences and the knowledge I gathered for the rest of my career.”
