Dietrich Earns Top-Ten Against WoO At Port Royal
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / DANNY DIETRICH RACING – GETTYSBURG, PA – One of two Pennsylvania Posse regulars to finish inside the top-ten against the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, “Double-D” Danny Dietrich represented his Central Pennsylvania fans well on Saturday night at the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania; finishing seventh, officially, during the 30-lap, $10,000-to-win, Nittany Showdown.
The Gettysburg native qualified for the main event by finishing third during his respective heat race, ultimately resulting in Dietrich’s fourth top-ten finish against the Greatest Show On Dirt in 2017.
“I’m proud of my team. Earning a top-ten finish against the World of Outlaws is not an easy task. There were only two Central Pennsylvania regulars to do that on Saturday night, so that says a lot about our program,” Dietrich explained, pilot of the Gary Kauffman Racing/Weikert’s Livestock/Sandoe’s Fruit Market/Pace Performance/Gsell’s Whitetails/Hickory Run Orchards/Carlisle Auto Salvage/CATS Used Truck Parts/Drop Of Ink Tattoo/Bowman Block & Head Repair/Sweeney Cars/Self Made/No. 48. “We get to go back to Port Royal Speedway this Saturday. We’ll put our notes to work and try to do one better.”
Danny Dietrich will return to the Port Royal “Speed Palace” on Saturday, October 21. The 13-time winner in 2017 will participate in Open Wheel Madness worth $4,000; Port Royal Speedway’s season finale.
