Williams Grove To Have 410 & 358 Sprints On Tap This Friday
Story By: SHAWN BROUSE / WILLIAMS GROVE SPEEDWAY – MECHANICSBURG, PA – Coming up this Friday, September 15, Williams Grove Speedway returns to action with an open wheel doubleheader featuring the 410 and 358 sprint cars.
On tap on September 15 will be HJ Towing & Recovery Night for the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprints and the HJ Towing & Recovery 358 sprint cars.
The first 250 general admission fans thorugh the admission gates on September 15 will receive a free hot dog courtesy of HJ Towing & Recovery.
Adult general admission is $15 for the racing program with youth ages 13 – 20 priced at $10.
Kids ages 12 and under are always admitted for free at Williams Grove Speedway!
The Williams Grove portion of the weekly 50/50 drawing will be donated to the York County Racing Club.
The 410 sprints will compete in a 25-lap main paying $3,600 to win while the 358 sprints will go 25-laps as well with a $1,500 payoff to win the HJ Towing & Recovery feature event.
Williams Grove Speedway will conclude the 2017 Hoosier Diamond Series for the 410 sprint cars on Friday, September 22 when it hosts another World of Outlaws tune up event.
The 410 sprint car field will be preparing for the following week’s invasion by the World of Outlaws for the prestigious Champion Racing Oil National Open.
The Champion Racing Oil National Open is slated for September 28, 29 and 30 with the Saturday, September 30 40-lap Open paying $50,000 to win.
The September 30 event will also crown the 2017 Williams Grove Speedway 410 sprint car champion.
Currently, young Freddie Rahmer of Salfordville is 410 points ahead of Brian Montieth in the quest to be the 2017 Lawrence Chevrolet track champion.
It would be a career first oval title for both drivers.
