The Empire Super Sprints Return To Brockville This Saturday
Story By: DEAN REYNOLDS / EMPIRE SUPER SPRINTS – SYRACUSE, NY – It’s been since August of 2008 when Steve Poirier sat in victory lane for the last Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints event at the Brockville Ontario Speedway. This Saturday night, the 35 year racing group will make its return for a $2,000 to win event.
The event is the next in line with the 1000 Islands RV Centre Canada Tour where Coleman Gullick has a narrow lead over Jason Barney for the championship North of the Border.
The points for the Canada Tour are still up for grabs throughout the top ten with Steve Poirier, local favorite Matt Billings, Alain Bergeron, Paul Kinney, Paulie Colagiovanni, Brett Wright, Matt Tanner and Jordan Poirier making up the top of the points.
But, the stars and cars of ESS’ return doesn’t stop there. Shawn Donath, Dave Axton, Alex Vigneault, Yan Bilodeau, Dylan Swiernik, Paul Pekkonen, Sammy Reakes, Chris Jones, Guillaume Neiderer, Rick and April Wilson, Justin Harris and more.
ESS will also return to the 1000 Islands RV Centre Fall Nationals in October for a big $3,000 to win event.
Car Mate Custom Built Trailers heat events will kick off the night followed by the Herbison Tree Service/Cobra Coaches Dash, the Lacaillade Masonry B-Main all leading up to the $2,000 to win 25 lap A-Main.
