Rush LM Series Assesses Penalties Following Delaware Int’l Event
Story By: RUSH RACING SERIES – PULASKI, PA – On July 27, 2017 at Delaware International Speedway in Delmar, Delaware, competitor Allen Brannon finished third in the RUSH Late Model feature event. During post-race technical inspection, Brannon was disqualified for a suspension infraction and was disqualified for the event (loss of points and monies).
In addition, throughout the technical inspection Brannon refused to allow RUSH Officials to take tire and fuel samples. Thus, RUSH Officials levied the same penalties for each refusal as they would have for a sample which is found to be illegal. In this case, an illegal tire and illegal fuel each carry a thirty day suspension and a $500 fine.
For his refusal to allow both tire and fuel samples to be taken, Brannon and car owner James Stevens will be suspended for sixty days from all RUSH-sanctioned events, and then will have to pay a total fine of $1,000 before they can resume competing with RUSH.
