#RollUpDoubleHeader With Tim Hortons Night At Merrittville

Story By: JIM IRVINE / MERRITTVILLE SPEEDWAY – THOROLD, ONT – The weekend of the summer is here for Merrittville Speedway Race Fans and Teams and Tim Hortons will serve up the opener Saturday August 5th with a Bobcat of Hamilton Weekly Racing Series program that features the second round of the Eataly Foods Pro 4 Triple Truck Challenge Series and the Thunder on the Dirt Vintage Racing Series.

“It’s become a ritual since 1972,” said (Merrittville Speedway’s) Don Spiece, “the Civic Holiday Doubleheader offers something for everyone on two action-packed nights and we’re quite excited that Tim Hortons will help us kick off the Civic Holiday weekend!”

The Eataly Foods Pro 4 Triple Truck Challenge is in it’s second season allowing Humberstone Speedway Mike Knapp Pro 4 Trucks a second night of racing. Back in the first event Monday May 22nd – Mitch Dumont took home the win in the Zavitz Finanical Strategies and Employee Benefits Brian Stevens Memorial support event.

The Thunder on the Dirt Vintage Racing Series helps keep alive the great history of Dirt Modified racing of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. If you remember those days … you’ll enjoy the authentic and competitive racing from that era of the sport. If you are new to the sport … it’s an exciting look back to the early days of the sport.
