Outlaw Mods & Sportsman Tour Headline Freedom Motorsports Park Friday

Story By: CHARLIE LANGLOIS / FREEDOM MOTORSPORTS PARK – DELEVAN, NY – The Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modifieds and the Bellinger Electric Lightning Series Tour for the Tidds Towing DIRTcar Sportsman headline the card at Freedom Motorsports on Friday August 4.

The race night is brought to you by Bellinger Electric. The evening will also feature the Pioneer Ford Street Stocks and the Danny Heineman & Sons Mini Stocks. One lucky child will win a bike courtesy of the Mascho Street Stock teams. The green flag is scheduled for 7:30 pm on Friday August 4.

The Lightning Series was created by Brian Bellinger, driver of the 7B DIRTcar Sportsman and long time dirt racer. Many invading Sportsman competitors are expected for the Bellinger Electric Lightning Sportsman Series $1000 to win event. The Bellinger Electric Lightning Series race will be their final tour event of the season. Cody McPherson captured the feature in their first visit back on June 2. On that night, Adam Leslie set a new Tidds Towing DIRTcar Sportsman track record at 15.178. The 40 lap contest will feature lap money. Last Friday, all four divisional point leaders captured their respective feature events. For Adam Hilton of Buffalo, it was his first ever Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modified win. Brad Rouse of St. Catherines, Ontario, took down his fourth win in the Tidds Towing DIRTcar Sportsman. Pioneer Ford Street Stock competitor Dennis Cummings of Wellsville grabbed victory number three and Holden Heineman of Sardinia graced the Danny Heineman & Sons Mini Stock winners circle for the second time in 2017.

Due to rainouts, there have been a number of changes to the schedule. On August 11, the ROC Tour race for the Tidds Towing DIRTcar Sportsman postponed from June 30 will be run. The ULMS Murphys Logging Super Late Model race that was rained out on May 26 has been rescheduled for August 18. The Fulton Speedway Outlaw 200 qualifier for the Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modifieds has been set for Friday August 25.

Bring the family out for a great night of racing at the area’s fastest 1/3 mile clay oval. Grandstands open at 6:00 pm and racing starts at 7:30. Adult grandstand admission is only $13, $12 for Seniors, $7 for Students (9-15) and kids under 8 are admitted free.
