Haas and Trone Outdoor Motorsports Continue to Improve
Story By: ANTHONY CORINI / TRONE OUTDOOR MOTORSPORTS – YORK, PA – Cory Haas and the John Trone owned No. 39 competed three times at three different tracks and made their presence known all three nights, highlighted by a runner-up finish at the Williams Grove Speedway on Friday evening.
“We’re still looking for speed at the bigger tracks early in the night. We were okay on Friday, but our starting position dictated how our evening went,” a humble Haas said.
Saturday at Lincoln, where Haas has been strong all season, the Trone Outdoor Motorsports No. 39 came home a respectable seventh. “We were way too tight, but were able to salvage a decent run,” Haas said. The result was Haas’ 13th top-ten finish in the Pigeon Hills in 2017.
On Sunday evening, Haas made a rare trek down to Trail-Way Speedway where he finished sixth. “I would love to go back to Trail-Way again. It’s a fun little place, we were just a little off on the car,” Haas said following the conclusion of his third top-seven weekend.
Haas will remain busy this Labor Day weekend with a pair of starts at Williams Grove on Friday and Sunday, along with a return visit to the Lincoln Speedway Saturday. The team will take Labor Day off before returning to the Port Royal Speedway for the running of the Tuscarora 50 the following weekend.
