Attica & Wayne County On Deck For The “Texas Traveler”

Michael will enter events at Attica (OH) Raceway Park and Wayne County (OH) Speedway during the upcoming holiday weekend, chasing a grand total of $20,000 over two days beginning Saturday, September 2, in Attica, Ohio.
Utilizing a unique format featuring a point system and double heat races, the annual Dirt Classic Ohio worth $10,000 will highlight competition at the Attica high banks on Saturday evening. T.J. Michael is certainly no stranger to competition at Attica Raceway Park, as it was a weekly destination for the Texas native before hitting the road full-time with “America’s Series” in 2016.
T.J. Michael’s Labor Day weekend double will continue with the Pete Jacobs Memorial on Sunday, September 3, at the Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio. The Sunday night showstopper will also award a $10,000 top prize; the highest paying sprint car event on Wayne County Speedway’s 2017 schedule. Michael finished 14th during the 2016 edition of the Pete Jacobs Memorial, qualifying for main event competition by finishing third during his respective heat race.
“We are really looking forward to getting back to Attica and Wayne County,” Michael expressed, pilot of the Michael Motorsports/Advanced Cast Stone/Fremont Fence Company/Kear’s Speed Shop/Shell Shock/Hinchman Suits/Big D’s Pizza of Fremont and Clyde/Crown Battery/Kistler Racing Engines/No. 8M entry. “Things haven’t been going too well as of lately, but it’s definitely not from a lack of trying. We work hard and do everything we can to improve. We just need a little bit of luck to fall on our side. September is an important month. We’ll attempt to gets things going in the right direction right from the start.”
