358 LM’s Ready To Vie For Big $5,000 Payday At Susquehanna

Story By: BRAD VORES / SUSQUEHANNA SPEEDWAY – YORK HAVEN, PA – The largest paying 358 late model race in the Northeast is just around the corner and will take center stage at Susquehanna Speedway.

Scheduled for Friday and Saturday, September 8-9, the Creekside Auto Sales Topless 50 for the Bernheisel Race Cars 358 Late Models will find the pits filled with the top drivers in the tri-state area vying for the big $5,000 top prize. The 50 lap main will also pay $500 to start.

The night will also feature the annual Manufacturers Night presented by division sponsor Bernheisel Race Components, of Jonestown, who will present every team in competition with racing parts/components. BRC has partnered with parts suppliers and manufacturers to provide over $10,000 in free products and over $25,000 in product/service discount certificates. Participating in the giveways are Dominator, Fast Shafts, Bull Dog, Wilwood, American Racer, Hoosier, Wehrs, Outpace, F-K, Ontime, Quickcar, AR Bodies, Eibach, Race Quip, Wrisco, Performance Bodies, Kirkey Seats, JRI Shocks, Precision Powder Coating and Focus Shock Technologies. The only competitor requirement to participate in the draw for prizes is that their race car display BRC decals on both sides of the car. Decals will be provided at the track.

The Bernheisel Experience Two-Seater ride along car will be in attendance both nights, offering rides to fans who purchase the experience.

“We are excited to host one of the biggest paying 358 late model races in the Northeast at Susquehanna Speedway,” track General Manager Kolten Gouse stated. “We have a great group of sponsors that have stepped up to help put this race on and it’s something we wanted to give back to the late model teams. The late models always put on a great show at Susquehanna and we are excited to see what this show brings.”

Joining Creekside Auto Sales and Bernheisel Race Cars as sponsors for this event include Superior Homes, Chaz‘s Used Auto Parts, Gretna Graphic, Jacobson, Julius & Stevens Attorneys and Counselors at Law, Hershey Racing Engines, Mike’s Towing, Brehm-Lebo Engineering, Miller Racing Parts, Roys Body Shop and Frankie’s Auto Parts.

The driver who sets fast time in time trials will take home a $200 bonus from Millers Racing Products and $200 from Brown and Miller Racing Solutions.

Brown and Miller Racing Solutions will also present a $200 bonus to the Hard Charger in the feature event. That driver will also win a free Hoosier Racing Tire.

Drivers planning to compete in this huge event will need to pay a $100 entry fee by August 31. Those drivers pre-entered will get two free pit passes. Any driver that enters after the August 31 deadline will be a $100 entry fee and will pay for pit admission for both nights.

A Sunday, September 10, 2017 raindate will be used if necessary.
