Rush LM Series Assesses Penalty Following Event At Roaring Knob
Information By: RUSH RACING SERIES – PULASKI, PA – On July 1, 2017 at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania, competitor Robert Cossell IV finished second in the RUSH Late Model feature event.
During post-race technical inspection, Cossell refused to allow a RUSH Official to confiscate his engine for further technical inspection. Thus, Cossell and car owner RCR Dirt has been assessed the following penalties per the 2017 RUSH Rules:
- Disqualification from the event with a loss of points and monies
- Loss of points earned to date in 2017
- One-year suspension from all RUSH-sanctioned events
- $1,000 fine, which must be paid before driver and/or car owner can compete in a RUSH-sanctioned event
