Pavement Stars Converge In Action-Packed Oswego Special Saturday

Story By: CAMDEN PROUD / OSWEGO SPEEDWAY – OSWEGO, NY – One of Oswego Speedway’s most jammed packed shows of the season will take place on Saturday July 8 featuring a Novelis Supermodified 50, Pathfinder Bank SBS 30, a 67-lap Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Tour special plus a Demolition Derby to cap the evening.

While a large field of demo derby campaigners will compete for the $1,000 top prize in the always exciting post-race display, action will be hotter than ever on the race track this Saturday night as well with championship battles heating up for the Supermodifieds and SBS, along with the Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Tour, which will be making it’s second stop of 2017 at the ‘Steel Palace.’

With three wins under his belt already this season, Dave Shullick Jr. leads the Supermodifieds through the month of July while defending champion Dave Cliff continues his march atop the Pathfinder Bank SBS Road to the Championship standings.

Patrick Emerling leads the Race of Champions Tour into Oswego ahead of Andy Jankowiak, George Skora, Mike Leaty and Tommy Catalano. Nearly two dozen cars are expected to compete tomorrow night in 67-laps of ground pounding action.

The program will kickoff with the start of hot laps at 2:00pm, with qualifying going green at 4pm. Heat racing action will get underway earlier this week, with the first Modified heat going trackside promptly at 5pm.
