Ohio Tripleheader Highlights Independence Weekend For Lucas Oil LM’s

Story By: JEREMY SHIELDS / LUCAS OIL LATE MODEL DIRT SERIES – BATAVIA, OH – The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will celebrate the Independence weekend with a tripleheader in Ohio. The nation’s elite dirt late model teams will tackle three different venues, in pursuit of over $135,000 in prize money.

The weekend begins on Saturday, July 1st, when Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, OH hosts the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for the annual Independence 60. The event will feature a complete program for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, which includes: Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains and a 60-lap, $12,000-to-win main event. The Open Wheel Modifieds and Limited Late Models will also be in action on July 1st.

The captivating stars of the nation’s premier dirt late model tour will invade the revitalized, Mansfield Motor Speedway on Sunday, July 2nd for The Freedom 50 – presented by Summit Racing Equipment. The event will include an action-packed program of: Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains and a 50-lap, $10,000-to-win main event for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. The Street Stocks will compete for a $2,000 top prize.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will polish off the weekend at Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, OH on Monday, July 3rd. In addition to the high-speed, door-to-door racing action – presented by Bear Welding Services, LLC, the event will feature the area’s largest fireworks display. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will compete in a full program of: Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains and a 60-lap, $12,000-to-win main event. Also on the racing card will be the Open Wheel Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Four Cylinders.
