Haas & Trone Finish Second At Lincoln
Story By: ANTHONY CORINI / TRONE OUTDOOR MOTORSPORTS – YORK, PA – Cory Haas and the Trone Outdoor Motorsports team finished second at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday. A late afternoon rain shower had Lincoln heavy, fast and tough to pass, but that didn’t stop Haas from charging from the eighth position to the runner-up spot.
“We were pretty good at Lincoln. I think we were a little better than others in lapped traffic, we just couldn’t get there in time,” Haas said about his run Saturday.
Friday was another time trial show at Williams Grove Speedway and with only 23 cars signed-in the track never truly widened out to create two grooves of racing. Subsequently, this put a lot of emphasis on time trials. “We just didn’t time well enough to start where you need to start,” Haas said. Haas came forward to the 11th position at the conclusion of the feature.
