TJ Michael To Visit Lernerville, Wayne Co. During All Star Off-Week
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / TJ MICHAEL MOTORSPORTS – FREMONT, OH – With Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions obligations on break until May 19, the “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael will use his free time wisely and spend the upcoming weekend visiting Lernerville Speedway and Wayne County Speedway; a pair of facilities featured on the Arctic Cat All Star schedule in 2017.
The second year Arctic Cat All Star full-timer, currently seventh in the Series championship standings, will visit Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania, on Friday, May 12, for a Fab4 racing program. It will be Michael’s first visit to the Western Pennsylvania venue in 2017.
Like Lernerville Speedway, T.J. Michael’s visit to Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio, on Saturday, May 13, will take shape during a regular, weekly program.
“We are still keeping an eye on the weather, but for now the plan is to visit Lernerville and Wayne County this weekend,” Michael explained, pilot of the Michael Motorsports/Advanced Cast Stone/Fremont Fence Company/Kear’s Speed Shop/Shell Shock/Hinchman Suits/Big D’s Pizza of Fremont and Clyde/Crown Battery/Kistler Racing Engines/J&J Auto Racing/MJ Webb Enterprises/Roy Hardin Masonry/Wood Heating & Air Conditioning/Pro Tech Service Company/HRP/No. 8M. “With no All Star points on the line, it was in our best interest to visit a few tracks on the schedule. We’re trying to learn as much as we can and gain as much lap time as possible. We’ll head into the weekend with nothing to lose. This is a great opportunity for us to try some things and figure out where we need to improve before visiting these two tracks again with the All Stars.”
With one appearance already in the books, Wayne County Speedway will host the Arctic Cat All Stars on three more occasions in 2017. Michael finished 21st during his first visit in mid-April, improving three positions after starting 24th on the main event grid. Lernerville Speedway will host the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions on Friday, June 2; a rescheduled event from Friday, May 5.
