Zearfoss Rebounds For Top-Five At Susquehanna Speedway
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BROCK ZEARFOSS RACING – JONESTOWN, PA – After suffering from engine failure on Saturday night, April 8, at Port Royal Speedway, erasing all hopes for a third consecutive top-ten finish at the “Speed Palace,” the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss would rebound in a big way and score a top-five performance on Sunday night, April 9, at the Susquehanna Speedway near York Haven, Pennsylvania. Zearfoss finished fourth officially during the 30-lap program, bettering most of the 28-car field.
“I’m proud of my guys. That was a big way to recover after a rough night at Port Royal,” Zearfoss explained. “We had some great runs going at Port Royal Speedway, so we were obviously disappointed. Luckily for me, I have a team that bounces back quickly. It didn’t hurt our momentum at all. We stayed positive and traveled to Susquehanna with the intent to get back into the top-ten, and that is exactly what we did.”
Brock Zearfoss, pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing/Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Meckley’s Limestone/Central Builders Supply Co./Berkebile Oil Company/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Invisible Glass/Walker Performance Filtration/Schaeffer Racing Oil/No. 3Z, will return to competition on Easter weekend, revisiting Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway on Friday and Saturday, April 14-15, respectively. The two-time Central Pennsylvania main event winner in 2016 will enter the weekend currently third in the Williams Grove Speedway track championship chase, as well as 11th in the Port Royal Speedway track championship chase.
“We have plenty of season left to rebound at Port Royal Speedway and get ourselves back into championship contention,” Zearfoss said. “We have some momentum built up from our Susquehanna appearance, so we’ll use that to our advantage.”
