Speedy First Aid News Briefs: NASCAR Rain Out Possible For Sunday

Column By: JOHN DOUGLAS / RPW – With a bleak at best weather forecast for the scheduled Sunday running of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway, NASCAR announced Saturday that no changes were being made to the shcedule until Sunday, however if the race must be postponed, it will run on Monday at 1 PM EST.

Blaney Fails Xfinity Series Post-Race Tech
After Saturday’s running of the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Bristol Motor Speedway Ryan Blaney’s No.22 Penske Ford was found t be too low in the left front. Any official penalties will be announced some time next week.

IMSA to Return to Georgia for October Banquet
The IMSA Weather Tech Sports Car Series will again visit Chateau Elan in Braselton, Georgia for the 2017 series awards banquet. The evening’s events will recognize the top teams and drivers from all four of the series classes, while also hosting for the fourth consecutive year, the IMSA Continental Tire Series banquet as well.
