Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / JARED MILEY RACING – PITTSBURGH, PA – For the first time since entering competition with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in Tampa and Ocala, Florida, “The Jet” Jared Miley will return to work, this time joining the ULMS Racing Series super late models at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, April 15.

Miley, a former ULMS Racing Series champion and main event winner, will attempt to capture his first victory of the 2017 season on Saturday night at the Mercer short track, earning $3,000 in the process.

“We’re ready to get back to the track. A two month break is long enough,” Jared Miley explained, pilot of the Jared Miley Racing/Jay’s Auto Wrecking/Colussy Chevrolet/Octane Graphix/Brougher’s Machine Shop/Huey Brothers Trucking/DLB Metals/No. H1. “We’ve had a few opportunities to race since returning home from Florida, but the weather hasn’t really been working in our favor. That’s not such a bad thing, though. We took our time looking over everything after Florida. Things tend to get pretty busy this time of the year, so we won’t have long off-stretches like this for the rest of the season.”

Jared Miley will enter the ULMS Racing Series program at Mercer Raceway Park with a handful of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series main event starts in 2017, finishing as high as 12th during competition at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Florida. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, native earned six main event victories in 2016, one of which a ULMS victory worth $6,000 at Eriez Speedway in Erie, Pennsylvania. Miley has never been victorious at Mercer Raceway Park.

“We’ve been near the top on a few occasions, I believe, but we’ve never won there,” Miley said about Mercer Raceway Park. “Mercer can be tricky; it’s not real wide, so you have to pass and work through traffic really carefully. Regardless, we’re excited to get back to the track. We hope to end our Mercer winless streak on Saturday night.”
