Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BRENT MARKS RACING – WILLIS, TX – With his first World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series West Coast Swing finally in the books, the “Myerstown Missile” Brent Marks will now begin to transfer his focus back toward competition in the Midwest, first returning to Texas for three consecutive events beginning Thursday evening, April 13, at the Gator Motorplex in Willis, Texas.

Marks ended his West Coast Swing with back-to-back appearances in Arizona, finishing 19th during action at Cocopah Speedway and Arizona Speedway on Friday and Saturday, April 7-8, respectively.

“Not the way we wanted to end our trip out west, just a tough weekend in Arizona, but we’ll shake it off and keep moving forward,” Brent Marks said. “We look forward to getting back to Texas. M&M Painting & Construction is based in Texas, so racing in that area gives them an opportunity to visit the track and see us in action. Hopefully things click for us right out of the box and we earn some solid finishes for the Murray family.”

After his visit to the Gator Motorplex on Thursday, April 13, Brent Marks will continue his Texas visit with the two-day Texas Outlaw Nationals at the Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, on Friday and Saturday, April 14-15. It will be a first-ever Gator Motorplex and Devil’s Bowl Speedway appearance for the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19 operation.

Marks will enter the upcoming weekend with one Texas start in 2017, joining the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at the LoneStar Speedway in Kilgore, Texas, on Friday, March 3. The 2017 World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year contender finished 19th during the 35-lap main event, qualifying for the feature program by finishing third during the evening’s Last Chance Showdown. Marks is currently 12th in the World of Outlaws championship standings.
