Haas & Trone Look Ahead After Tough Weekend
Story By: ANTHONY CORINI / TRONE OUTDOOR MOTORSPORTS – YORK, PA – It’s mid-April and Williams Grove has had 4 rainouts, with only 1 race in the books. This is preventing a lot of teams from getting into a rhythm, especially new teams like Cory Haas and Trone Outdoor Motorsports. Haas was given the opportunity to race twice this weekend; competing at Lincoln Speedway and the sprint car opener at Susquehanna Speedway.
Luck of the pill draw would have Haas start last in both of his heat races this weekend. “I can’t control that stuff. It all evens out over the course of the season. We just have to be a little better and it won’t matter,” Haas said. He’s right about only needing a little improvement as Haas was able to drive up to fifth and sixth in his heat races this weekend. Haas was scored 12th at Lincoln and 13th at SSP.
“It was a frustrating weekend for sure. We battled through our problems. I’m looking forward to next week. This is a great group of guys,” Haas stated.
On tap, Williams Grove will try once again to battle Mother Nature while Lincoln Speedway hosts its annual Spring Championship featuring time trials for the first time this season and a cool $5,000 payday to the feature winner.
Haas, pilot of the Trone Outdoor Motorsports/ Eagle Steel/ Trone Outdoor Advertising/ Eagle Evergreens/ Bricker’s/ DMI/ Bulldog Rear Ends/ York PB Truss/ No. 39, will be in action both nights this weekend.
