Cory Haas Continues To Show Speed Early In 2017
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / TRONE OUTDOOR MOTORSPORTS – YORK, PA – Williams Grove lost yet another race to rain which meant Cory Haas and the Trone Outdoor Motorsports/No. 39 team would only get the opportunity to race at the Lincoln Speedway this past weekend.
The speed continued for Haas as he piloted the Trone car into a heat race finish good enough to make the handicap for the feature. Haas was well on his way to his 3rd consecutive top-10 finish in the Pigeon Hills before contact with another competitor sent the No. 39 car spinning on the backstretch with front end damage.
“That’s always a tough way to have our night come to an end, but the car was good again. We need to work harder and get a little better,” Haas said.
It’s been tough to get into a rhythm for the Haas team as local racing has only had one full weekend of competition as the season approaches mid-April.
“We will be at Williams Grove and Lincoln as usual, and if things go well, we’d like to run Susky, too,” Haas stated in regards to this upcoming weekend.
Haas, pilot of the Trone Outdoor Motorsports/ Eagle Steel/ Trone Outdoor Advertising/ Eagle Evergreens/ Bricker’s/ DMI/ Bulldog Rear Ends/ York PB Truss/ No. 39 is looking forward to the opportunity for a potential three-race weekend.
