Story By: MIKE WISNIEWSKI / TEAM88 RACING – SICKLERVILLE, NJ – At the Short Track Super Series South Jersey Shootout event at Bridgeport Speedway on Sunday, April 23, Danny Bouc wheeled the Team 88 Racing Modified to a stout second place finish in the 40-lap feature.

With a strong and talented field of forty-one Modifieds, Bouc qualified for the main event and the redraw by finishing second in the third heat race. Starting in tenth place, Bouc was up to seventh at the halfway point of the feature. His big move would take place following a caution period on the thirtieth circuit. On the restart, Bouc boldly knifed his way from sixth into second place. “I just go where everyone else is not,” stated the racer from Pipersville, PA. In the final stages, Bouc continued his strong run as he followed the victorious Stewart Friesen across the finish line.

The strong run by Bouc was quite an accomplishment considering the engine used by the Mike Bent owned team. While most competitors were using a 467 cubic inch Big Block engine, Bouc was using a 358 cubic inch spec engine built by his dad, Gary Bouc. “Mike’s team has great equipment and my dad builds great powerplants. This is a strong combination and I think the team will be very competitive in future races,” explained the second place finisher. For their next race, Bouc and the Team 88 Racing Modified are planning to be at the Short Track Super Series race at Delaware International Speedway on Thursday, May 25.
