Big Night Of Racing This Friday At Big Diamond: Modifieds Added To Schedule
Story By: BIG DIAMOND SPEEDWAY – MINERSVILLE, PA – Once again the weather put a damper on the action last Friday night at the Big Diamond Speedway, with steady rain all day the track was forced to cancel last Friday’s events.
As a result of last Friday’s cancellation, the Insigner Performance Modifieds that were originally scheduled to be off this week have been added to this Friday’s racing card. Big Diamond Speedway boasts of the most talented fields of modifieds on any given Friday night with Timmy Buckwalter, Billy Pauch Jr, Alex Yankowski and Jeff Strunk all victorious in 2021. Still searching for their first win of 2021 at Big Diamond are the likes of Craig Von Dohren, Duane Howard, Danny Bouc, Jared Umbenhauer, Ryan Krachun and Rick Laubach just to name a few. The action in the Insigner Performance modified division is always spectacular and you can bet this week will be no exception.
The U.S.S Achey Open Sportsman division make their return to action after a 2-week break with Tim Fitzpatrick and Brandon Edgar both looking for win number two of the season.
If you want to talk competition, you need to look no further than the Savage 61 Crate 602 division as this division continues to grow in popularity amongst the racing world. With the cars so even and competitive, this division continues to produce different winners every race.
The Red White and Blue Autos Roadrunners put on a great show for the fans two weeks ago with veteran Don Murphy getting a very emotional win for himself by holding off 2020 points champion Alex Schoffstall for the win. This division continues to excite the fans weekly, and this Friday night should be no exception.
Also, on the racing card this Friday are the Central PA Legends car as the visit the speedway for the first time in 2021. The legend division is very popular and always put on a great race when the visit Big Diamond.
Pit Gates will open on Friday night at 5:00 PM with the grandstand gates opening at 5:30 PM.
*There will also be a free pig roast for the fans while supplies last.*
Pit admission is $30 for Big Diamond Speedway and Central PA Legend members, non-member pit admission is $40.
Warmups get underway at 7:15 PM with racing starting at 7:45 PM.
General admission on Friday night will be $20, Kids under 16 are free. Active military are admitted free with a valid ID.
