With Extension of Lockdown In Ontario, Cornwall Motor Speedway Sitting Idle Until Further Notice
Story By: MARTIN BÉLANGER / CORNWALL MOTOR SPEEDWAY – CORNWALL, ONT – With the recent announcements from the government of Ontario on the extension of the lockdown in our area until June 2, 2021, this forces Cornwall Motor Speedway management to work on a new schedule for the upcoming season.
Being part of the ‘’Back to the track’’ initiative that includes more than 20 tracks across the province, we are all anxiously waiting on guidance from the Health and Safety unit with specific instructions as to when and how we will be able to reopen our facility.
Several great sponsors had already been confirmed during the off season as many of them were committed in different local series such as the Canadian Nationals, Weekend Warriors, Race for the Cure, division and heat championships. Our focus will be to build a schedule that will include these Series and hopefully will have enough races to have division champions in 2021.
We would like to thank all the sponsor that are committed to the coming season with Fat Les Chip Stand, TAS Racing, Next Level Home Improvement, Alexandria Home Hardware, Remorquage du Plateau, Ahoy Adventures, Artist in Residence Distillery, Mike Sauvé Construction, Clyde Slinger Services, JLB Heating and Cooking, PM Promotions, RSI Industrial, CJs Auto Inc and many more to come when we will confirm our schedule.
We are working really hard to build a solid calendar that will please everyone and be advised that we will announce our plans as soon as we can!
