Max McLaughlin Closes Bristol’s Super DIRTcar Series Throwdown With Podium Finish
Story By: TYLER WALKER / MAX MCLAUGHLIN RACING – BRISTOL, TN – Max McLaughlin and team had one thing in mind when they stepped into “The Last Great Colosseum ” Sunday morning, get to the front.
With a solid qualifying effort and a heat race finish good enough for the redraw, Max started in 4th place in his Sweeteners Plus, Carl Myers Enterprises, Coffey McCreadie Enterprises #32c entry.
From there he faded back to 5th for a few laps until he adjusted his Bicknell Chassis and found a sweet spot, which ultimately ended in a 3rd place finish.
Max said, once again how thankful he is to be in equipment of this caliber and having a shot to win each time he straps in the car.
“I can’t say enough about my team. Everyone here this weekend played a role in getting us up on the podium. I think if we stuck in the top-3 early we may have been in a position to make a move in lap traffic.
We all were unsure how this track would race with the Big-Blocks, after two nights I think the fans got their money’s worth. This was fun, I hope we get to do this again.”
The Coffee McCreadie Enterprises, Sweeteners Plus cars have been iconic throughout DIRT Modified racing for over 20 years. Tim McCreadie, Vic Coffee and Danny Johnson just to name a few have all wheeled these red & yellow machines on the biggest of stages.
Since entering the #32c late in 2020 during OktoberFAST, Max has stepped to the challenge. With 2 victories under his belt and a DIRTcar Gator Nationals Championship early in 2021, this team is just getting started.
