Utica-Rome Speedway & Broedel Fuel Group Form Partnership For 2021 Racing Season
Story By: BRETT DEYO / UTICA-ROME SPEEDWAY – VERNON, NY – Stronger together. Broedel Fuel Group and the management team of Utica-Rome Speedway have signed a multi-faceted partnership for the upcoming 2021 season.
Broedel Fuel Group is now the official energy supplier of the Route 5 facility.
Broedel Fuel Group was founded in the fall of 2001 by Jason Broedel with its office in Hubbardsville, N.Y. In 2017, Broedel purchased Ferguson Fuels of West Winfield, N.Y., expanding the company’s coverage area.
Broedel Fuel Group offers propane gas, fuel oil and kerosene, diesel fuels and gasoline. Heating and air conditioning services include sales, service and installation of furnaces, boilers, residential hot water and steam boilers, central air conditioning, natural gas heating systems, water heaters and vented space heaters.

Via the agreement, Broedel Fuel Group will serve as presenting sponsor of two major events at the speedway: the first-ever Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco event at the track on Thursday, July 22: the ‘Richie Evans Remembered’ program.
Broedel will also present the return of the New Yorker event paying $10,000 to the Modified winner on Labor Day weekend (Sept. 5). The New Yorker will be joined by the Patriot Sprint Tour (PST) 360 Sprint Cars, Crate 602 Sportsman and Pro Stocks.
The Broedel Fuel Group name will be featured prominently on signage throughout the speedway.
A new era of racing at Utica-Rome Speedway gets underway on Friday, May 7 with a ‘Grand Reopening’ of the half-mile oval. A pair of practices will precede the opener on Friday, April 30 and Tuesday, May 4.
