Merrittville Speedway Secures Title Sponsorship For Track’s Mod Lite Division For ’21

Story By: STEVE PETTY / MERRITTVILLE SPEEDWAY – THOROLD, ONT – Merrittville Speedway is pleased to announce that RM RACING LUBRICANTS, a local Welland based racing oil distributor, will be the title sponsor of the weekly Mod Lite Division in 2021.

RM Racing Lubricants is the Master Distributor for Maxima Racing Oil in Canada and throughout Upstate New York.

Maxima Racing Oil has two (2), Zinc formulas, unlike other racing oils. The first formulation activates at startup and the second formulation activates at normal oil operating temps. The race engines are protected by a unique additive package that has a zinc level of 21 parts.

RM Racing Lubricants is owned by Richard Matthie, who has long been a supporter of local racers at Merrittville Speedway. RM Racing Lubricants sponsors several teams that race at Merrittville, as well as sponsoring drag racing series across Ontario and Quebec. In the past RM has given cases of oil to winners of the weekly races as part of their winner’s purse. RM is also a master distributor for Champion Oil and Driven Oil products. Richard can be found most Saturday nights in the pits supporting the teams he sponsors. RM is also sponsoring the Sportsman Drivers passes for 2021 also.

The 70th season of racing at Merrittville Speedway will officially begin on Saturday, April 17th with the 2021 edition of the Spring Sizzler. 360 Sprint Cars and 358 Modifieds will headline the show with the Sportsman and Hoosier Stocks also taking part in their first race of the season. Saturday, April 24 will be the first Bobcat of Hamilton Weekly Racing Series program of the season. The Bobcat of Hamilton Weekly Racing Series features the S&W Service Centre 358 Modifieds, Rick’s Delivery DIRTcar Sportsman, Hoosier Stocks, RM Racing Lubricants Mod Lites, Central Fabricating/Glo & Go Tanning 4 Cylinders, and the James Auto V6.
