Brent Marks & CJB Motorsports Score Podium Finish In Lone Star State With World Of Outlaws
Story By: NATALIE JACKSON / CJB MOTORSPORTS – CARLISLE, PA – In front of proud partners, Brent Marks and the CJB Motorsports team scored a pair of good finishes, including a runner up finish with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series tour at Cotton Bowl Speedway near Paige, Tx.
Marks and the team were in action on Friday, March 19th at the track in southern Texas. Car #5 timed in 14th, finished 5th in his heat race and 18th in the feature.
The following night, Marks timed in 7th, 4th in the heat race and 4th in the dash. Marks charged forward to 2nd in the feature.
“It’s been a tough couple weeks but Derek and Brian have been working hard to get things turned around,” said Marks, pilot of the #5 M&M Painting and Construction, BAPS Paints, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, R.E. Pierson Construction Co., Wolf-Run Landscapes, Nyce, Crete & Landis Block and Concrete, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Ecynbro Trucking machine. “It paid off on Saturday. We were in the hunt all night long and had a shot. It also felt really good to get a podium in the home state and the local area of M&M Painting & Construction. The Murray family have been dedicated to my career for some time now and they’re like family to me, so it felt great to represent them in that way this weekend..”
Marks and the #5 machine will stay out on tour with the, ‘Greatest Show on Dirt,’ as they make stops at US 36 Raceway near Osborn, Mo. on Friday, March 26th and Lake Ozark Speedway near Eldon, Mo. on Saturday, March 27th. Paul McMahan will be in action at Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway on Saturday, March 27th.
“More reps with the Outlaws will make us better,” said Marks. “Hopefully we’ll keep making progress and it’ll add to our overall program for the year.”
