Another Successful Woodhull Raceway Arnot Mall Car Show Now In The Books

Story By: KENNY SHUPP / WOODHULL RACEWAY – WOODHULL, NY – Under the second-year promotion of track owners, Terry and Niki Brewer the Annual Woodhull Raceway Arnot Mall Car Show presented by Swarthout Recycling successfully opened the 2021 season.

With a turnout of some thirty machines representing each class that competes weekly at Woodhull, thousands of curious onlookers strolled thru the Arnot Mall facility over the two-day affair on Saturday and Sunday, March 13 and 14, 2021.

As part of the activities, the Tire Changing Competition was held on Saturday afternoon at Center Court of the Arnot Mall Facility with hundreds of fans jammed in to witness the three-person tire changing crews as they competed against the clock.

Representatives of the Woodhull Raceway were on hand passing out 2021 schedule cards and greeting fans in anticipation of a successful upcoming race season.

Like every other New York race venue that did open for business in 2020, the Woodhull Raceway played host to empty grandstands throughout the entire season as stringent New York State protocol prohibited any mass outdoor gatherings. However, with mass vaccinations throughout the region coupled with a steady decline in the number of Covid 19 infections the Brewers are in hopes that when the track swings open the gates for the season lid lifter on April 17, 2021 fans will be allowed back into the facility.

“The biggest question being asked over the weekend was if we would be opening the 2021 season with fans in the stands. We must move forward with the hopes that we will have spectators allowed in when we open for business in April, stated Terr and Niki Brewer. There is a plan in place to keep all our loyal fans safe, we just need Governor Cuomo as well as state and local health officials to give us a green light. We are ready and so are the fans and when we can re-open for spectator access, it will be big.”

The track management then went on to say how fortunate they are to have marketing partners like Swarthout Recycling onboard to help make all this possible.
