Richard Smith Lands New Sponsor For 2021 Racing Season; Plans To Travel More

When the Covid-19 pandemic hit last year, many small businesses and businesses in general took a very hard hit. As Smith was formulating his 2021 plans, he was notified that some sponsors would not be returning in 2021.

However, Xterior Solutions saw the perseverance Smith displayed in his racing efforts and will join the team.

Xterior Solutions is a company serving the Hudson Valley with home improvements in the forms of roofing, siding, windows and doors.

“Xterior Solutions coming on board will be a major help to our racing efforts,” said Smith. “Since Covid began, racing in New York has been near nonexistent. We’ve based racing solely off of traveling and calling Penn Can Speedway our Friday night track. With Penn Can being in Pennsylvania, that’s a haul each and every week for our team. With Xterior Solutions joining us, it gives us the opportunity to acquire a new car for this season and a shot to upgrade our motor.”
